BATA is responsible for programming, administering and allocating toll revenue generated on the seven state-owned Bay Area toll bridges - Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond-San Rafael, San Francisco-Oakland, and San Mateo-Hayward.
MTC is the transportation planning, coordinating, and financing agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. MTC and BATA have formed a joint powers authority called the Bay Area Infrastructure and Financing Authority (BAIFA) that is responsible for developing, operating and maintaining express lanes, including the I-680 Contra Costa Express Lanes.
Caltrans owns, operates, and maintains the seven state-owned bridges in the Bay Area.
GGBHTD was formed in 1928 as the entity to build, maintain and operate the Golden Gate Bridge.
VTA is responsible for the funding, construction, operation and maintenance of the express lanes along the SR-237 and I-880 corridor in Santa Clara County.
The Alameda CTC is responsible for the funding, design, operation and maintenance of the I-680 and I-580 express lanes.
