Be ready with an email address, your vehicle license plate number, make, model and state of registration, credit card information and DMV-issued CAV Certificate. The CAV certificate must be valid and list the license plate number that matches the vehicle added to the account. If the certificate is expired or missing information, a CAV toll tag cannot be issued. Please contact DMV for information about the certificate.

Can I use the FasTrak designated lanes at toll bridges or in express lanes while I am waiting for my application to be processed? No. Your FasTrak account will not be opened until your application is approved. If there are any issues with your application, we will contact you to resolve them. If a CAV class toll tag cannot be issued to you, you have the option to open a FasTrak account and order a standard toll tag.
I have other vehicles. How do I order toll tags for them? This application process is to open an account with an exempt clean air vehicle for the purpose of ordering a CAV class toll tag. Once your account is opened, you can order toll tags or add toll tags that you pick up at a retail store to your FasTrak account.
Or, you can open a FasTrak account and order the toll tags you need and start using FasTrak right away. Then, using the “I have a FasTrak account” link, order the CAV class toll tag for your clean air vehicle.
